Can I withdraw my EPF before retirement?
Yes, partial withdrawals are allowed for specific purposes like home construction, education, marriage, or medical emergencies. Full withdrawal is allowed after 2 months of unemployment.
Is EPF interest taxable?
Since 2021, if an employee's total contribution to EPF and VPF exceeds ₹2.5 Lakh in a financial year, the interest earned on the excess amount is taxable.

You can check your PF balance through the EPFO portal using your UAN (Universal Account Number) or via the UMANG app.
